SPIRO POULOS

FOUNDING PARTNER

BIOGRAPHY

Spiro grew up in Chester, South Carolina.  After graduating from Chester High School, he went The University of South Carolina, where he double majored in Finance and Marketing with a minor in Criminal Justice.  Spiro then enrolled at The Charleston School of Law and was a member of the inaugural graduating class.  He then returned to the upstate and began his legal career as a prosecutor with the 6th Judicial Circuit in Lancaster County under Solicitor Doug Barfield.  There, he was the chief DUI prosecutor for three years for the entire circuit, where he handled several hundreds of DUI cases in Lancaster, Chester and Fairfield counties.

In late 2013, Spiro decided it was time to return to his hometown of Chester and fulfill his dream of practicing law in a town where he grew up and where he had deep ties to the area.  Being able to launch a location where he is able to help the people of the town he grew up in, has been one of Spiro’s proudest accomplishments.  In January 2014, Spiro founded The Poulos Law Firm.

Since opening the doors, Spiro has worked on hundreds of cases including DUI Defense, Criminal Defense, Personal Injury/wreck cases, Civil Litigation, Family Law, Land Transfers, Estate Planning, and Probate.  Spiro has been highly successful in his DUI and Criminal defense as well as Family Law and Personal Injury cases, representing  many different clients with excellent results in Chester, Lancaster, Fairfield, York, Kershaw, Chesterfield, Union, Spartanburg, Cherokee, Greenwood, Richland and Lexington counties.

Spiro believes that the practice of law is about relationships.  When an attorney is emotionally invested in the people he is representing, he will work even harder on their cases, while zealously advocating on their behalf.  The people he represents are his people, the people of Chester and surrounding areas.  Those are relationships that cannot be made overnight, or over a year, it is a life-long commitment.
